We’ve got some really great new games this week!

Tonight is the Launch Event for the long awaited Marvel Champions Living Card Game from Fantasy Flight Games. While there was some kind of nation wide snafu with the launch kits, we’re still be able to check out the new game tonight at 6:30.

Marvel Champions LCG, Cooperative, 1-4 Players

Tapestry: Create the civilization with the most storied history, starting at the beginning of humankind and reaching into the future. The paths you choose will vary greatly from real-world events or people—your civilization is unique! We’ve played this game and it’s GREAT! I can’t wait to play it again.

Tapestry, 1-5 Players

Star Wars Legion Droidekas and Barc Speeder Expansions

Arkham Horror Final Hour (1-4 Players, 10+) is a new Stand Alone game in the creepy Lovecraftian world of Arkham. In this cooperative game, players work together to fend off the parade of monsters while searching for the ritual components to put an end to the insanity. Can you stay sane?

Wayfinders (2-4 Players, 10+)is a game in which you outfit your flying machine and race to chart new paths! 10+

Magecity Oceania (2-4 Players, 8+) is a combination dexterity and light strategy game where players build a brand unique new city with every play.

Wordsmith (1-4 players, 10+) is all about discovering words, but instead of whole letters, you just have letter pieces in four different shapes. This brain tickling game for 1 to 4 players is a fast-paced, real-time word building frenzy! Sounds fun and crazy!!

Liftoff (2-4 Players, 12+) The race into space is in full swing! We’re making great progress on the techniques for supplying astronauts and space-ready machines, for optimizing launch conditions, and of course for designing the much-needed rockets. Players are each a private space agency that wants to develop in their own areas. We must hire specialists, improve our rockets, and expand our capabilities because soon we have to decide which missions we want to carry out and what we want to bring into space. Only those who plan ahead and properly manage the resources available will win this race to the stars…

Abomination: the Heir of Frankenstein (2-4 Players, 13+) Build your own monster from parts you find at cemeteries and morgues. Just in time for Halloween!

Ishtar: the Gardens of Babylon (2-4 Players, 14+) From the award-winning designer Bruno Cathala (Kingdomino), Ishtar is a game in which you play the role of a gardener aiming to transform the dry desert into the Lost Hanging Gardens of Babylon. To accomplish your mission, you will have to plant flowers, which, if you place them well, can help you gather precious gems and activate actions.

Bob’s Burgers Belcher Family Food Fight (3-6 Players, 8+) This fast paced game is an all out blast in a race to be the first to clear your plate. Check it out from the Game Library and give it a play!

Funkoverse Strategy Game (2-4 Players, 10+) Face off with your favorite POP!-ified characters in this head-to-head game. Batman vs Harry Potter? Yes, please!

Dune (2-6 Players, 12+) You will become the leader of one of six great factions. Each wishes to control the most valuable resource in the universe – melange, the mysterious spice only found at great cost on the planet DUNE. This beautiful reimplementation of the 80s game is rated 8.4 on boardgamegeek.com!

Harry Potter Death Eathers Rising (2-4 Players, 11+) In this cooperative card-drafting game, players must assemble teams of witches and wizards from the Order of the Phoenix, Dumbledore’s Army, and Hogwarts to fight against the growing threat of the Dark Lord.

Mansions of Madness Path of the Serpent Expansion (1-5 Players, 14+) Now in Mansions of Madness, you take on the role of Arkham’s bravest investigators who must step into the unexplored wilderness of the Amazon jungle and explore crumbling ruins, discover the secrets of lost civilizations, and stop a serpent’s curse before the world descends into chaos. In three new scenarios, you will battle horrifying serpent creatures, face stone monstrosities that come to life, and beat the ever-present danger of being lost to the jungle forever.

Ecos: the First Continent (2-6 Players, 14+) Players are forces of nature molding the planet, but with competing visions of its grandeur. You have the chance to create a part of the world, similar but different to the one we know. Which landscapes, habitats, and species thrive will be up to you.

Quirky Circuits (2-4 Players, 7+) is a game of robot programming silliness in which each player contributes to the programming of an adorable robo-friend. But be warned — no one knows which commands the other players will be tossing in!

Era: Medieval Age (1-4 Players, 8+) Your dice represent different classes of medieval society as players attempt to build the most prosperous city. The “build” comes into play as players actually build their cities on their boards. You will use beautifully modeled three-dimensional components such as walls, keeps, farms, and other structures. By the end of the game, each player will have a unique city of their very own!
