October is here! You know what that means…SPOOKY GAMES! We have compiled a list of spooky games perfect for any fall evening. Which is your favorite?
The stakes have been raised. Imagine living in a place so wretched that it’s not plagued by one, two, or even three monsters — but seven of the most horrifying fiends! Horrified includes high-quality sculpted miniatures (Frankenstein, The Bride of Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, Dracula, The Mummy, The Invisible Man, Creature from the Black Lagoon). Its innovative, easy-to-learn, cooperative gameplay has players working together against the monsters with varying levels of difficulty. Just as each monster is unique, they require different strategies and tactics to be defeated.
In Zombicide, zombies are controlled by the game, while players take on the role of survivors who must co-operate in order to survive and thrive in a world overrun by the bloodthirsty undead. Find guns and gear to take the fight to the zombies through 25 different scenarios linked by a branching story as you pick your way through an infested city.
In Duel of Wands, players attempt to prove themselves the superior caster by slinging spells at each other to try to remove their opponent’s psyche and win the duel. Don’t grow too confident in victory because between rounds, the loser can study and improve their spells!
Ticket to Ride: Ghost Train takes the gameplay of the Ticket to Ride series and scales it down for a younger audience. In general, players collect parade float cards, claim routes on the map, and try to connect locations such as the Mad Scientist’s Lab, the Gingerbread House, and the Lonely Barn that are shown on their tickets.
Monsters are always hungry and never go far from a bag full of provisions, in order to be able to prepare a delicious soup in only instants. But that’s if they can quickly find the ingredients listed on their monstrous cookbook! In Monster Soup, each player has to find the right ingredients in his own bag, using only touch! Eye, heart, worm, all the ingredients have a specific shape, that you will have to recognize to follow the recipe! The winner is the one whose soup contains the most slime cubes at the end of the 4th game turn.
