Like you, we’ve been following the news about the Covid-19 virus.  We are saddened that Western Washington has been affected so greatly.  In this spirit we would like to offer some information to our customers:

• Meeples Games is open regular business hours until further notice.  If we decide we need to change our hours, modify events, or close for a time, we will announce it on meeplesgames.com and social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.)

• Meeples Games is clean.  Being a cafe as well as a store, our staff are all trained and certified in sanitary work practices.  We clean and disinfect our space every day, and have been consistently rated “Excellent” by the King County Health Department. We take cleanliness seriously! And have published an updated sanitation plan to sanitize everything multiple times pre day.

• We do not have plans to cancel events.  If things change, we will let you know.

• We provide fully stocked washrooms for our customers to wash hands while they are in our space, and we have hand sanitizer at our checkout stations.

• If you are at High Risk, it’s safest to avoid gatherings and crowds.  King County (https://kingcounty.gov/depts/health/communicable-diseases/disease-control/novel-coronavirus/protection.aspx) has indicated that people at higher risk include people who are:

• Over 60 years of age
• With underlying health conditions including heart disease, lung disease, or diabetes
• With weakened immune systems 
• Who are pregnant

• We all share the responsibility to stay home if we are sick.   Our staff will not be working if they are sick. If you are sick or think you may have been exposed – please stay home.  If you come to Meeples Games coughing and sick, we will ask you to go home.  

• Take precautions.  Wash your hands frequently.  Don’t shake hands – an elbow bump or friendly wave will suffice.  Cough or sneeze into your elbow. Keep your hands away from your face.

• Communicate with your gaming group before your next session to make sure everyone is healthy and aware of the precautions they should take.

• Be kind.  This is a difficult and stressful time for our community.  Show each other love and compassion so we can all live long and prosper.
