We’ve been open for a month now, and WOW!  We’re working hard to make this the best game store West Seattle has ever seen.  I want to personally thank the community for all of the fantastic support as we get our legs under us, get the cafe shaken out, stabilize our inventory and get our event calendar fleshed out.  It’s hard to believe it’s only been a month!   So, thank you to our amazing employees and customers.  I’m really looking forward to the rest of the summer!

We’ve been getting new inventory in over that past week or so.  Today we got Dr. Who Yahtzee with an awesome Tardis dice cup… we’ll it’s more like a dice tower.  Yeah, dice tower, that’s the ticket.  We also got in CarmaRace, a new game that came out of a Kickstarter project.  In it, you are racing other players to get to a convention first to win the amazing, limited edition, one-of-a-kind widget.  None of you has a car so you must find a way across the country using any means necessary.  I haven’t played it yet, but it looks like great fun!

CarmaRace!

Be sure to check out the event calendar.  We have some awesome events coming up including:

• Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures – Wednesday (tonight) at 6:30 PM in the Thunderdome.  We had an amazing battle last time, let’s see if it can be even bigger tonight!
• Board Game Night – Thursday at 6:30 in the Cafe.  This one is always fun!  Lots of games you’ve never played are available for play and learning.
• Friday Night Magic – Friday at 6:30 in the Thunderdome.  This week we’re playing Standard so come on down and play some Magic, the Gathering!
• Family Game Day -Saturday from 11:00 – 2:00 in the Cafe.  Bring your family and play some games.  We have many really fun games you can play with your kids!

Pokemon is coming!  Next Wednesday at 5:00 PM we are having our first Pokemon session.  We’re calling at Workshop to teach kids how to play the game and find out what the interest is.  We’ll get together weekly after that.  Come on down and bring your kids.
