West Seattle Chamber of Commerce

I attended the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce annual luncheon this afternoon and it was really great.  I’m so glad I joined the organization and got to meet these amazing people.  I’m not sure what I was expecting, but, wow, what a great group.  Everyone was very nice and welcoming.  There were many questions about Meeples Games and a lot of excitement.  I can’t wait to actually be open and realize this idea so all y’all can enjoy it with me.

This is an important group in West Seattle.  They not only promote business in the area, but work with the city on issues like parking, new development and maintaining the neighborhood feel.  The business owners I met all care deeply about West Seattle and want to keep the neighborhood vibrant while supporting small business.

In other news, I got a review set of drawing from the architect today as we prepare for our intake appointment with the city.  They look really good.  All nice and official!  Our intake is on Tuesday and hopefully we’ll have a better idea about the timeline for the building permit after that.

Also, I get access to the space on Saturday 2/1!!!  We won’t be doing any work yet, but it will be ours and the next big step in getting our doors open.  I’ll keep you posted on any new developments.
